About the Role
We are seeking a Plasma Simulation Engineer to join our diverse and collaborative team. If you are an innovator with expertise in high-Mach number flows, plasma physics, and multiphase gas flow modeling, this is your chance to make a real-world impact. Your contributions will directly influence our advanced reactor designs, enabling ultra-pure silicon production with unparalleled efficiency.
What You’ll Do
- Develop detailed CFD models for high-temperature plasma flows and gas-phase reactions.
- Collaborate in a supportive, cross-disciplinary environment to integrate plasma, chemical, and thermal models.
- Use AI-driven methodologies to optimize reactor performance, increasing efficiency and sustainability.
- Validate and refine simulation models with experimental data, bridging theory and practice.
- Stay at the cutting edge of plasma physics, CFD, and AI technologies to drive innovation.
What You Bring
- Master’s degree or PhD in Fluid Mechanics, Applied Mathematics, Plasma Physics, or related fields.
- Proficiency in CFD software (e.g., COMSOL Multiphysics) and coding languages (Python, MATLAB, or similar).
- Experience with plasma physics, multiphase flows, and plasma-material interactions.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills combined with strong teamwork and communication abilities.

Silicon production emits 105 million tonnes CO₂ per year, almost a third of the UK’s total emissions. We want to change that. More than 90% of the world’s silicon supply comes from China, extracted using an outdated method, involving enormous amounts of coal. With our technology, green hydrogen is used to replace coal as a necessary additive for the extraction process, drastically reducing carbon dioxide emissions.
